Gluten-Free Crispy Chilli Beef Fakeaway
I only first made this dish last week, and itβs already one of my all-time favs! π
This crispy chilli beef is perfect for those of you that love a Chinese, but haven't been able to find a good coeliac safe one (or any at all!) since your diagnosis!
Plus, it comes to just 436 calories per serving and a lovelyyyy 36g protein! πͺ (not including rice)
Here's what you'll need for 2 portions β :
250g lean beef (thinly sliced)
1 bell pepper and 1 white onion (thinly sliced)
40g cornflour
For the beef marinade: 2 tbsp gf soy sauce, pinch of salt and pepper, 1 tsp Chinese 5 spice, 1 egg white/tsp of vegetable oil
For the chilli sauce: 1 tbsp soy sauce, 3 tbsp reduced sugar sweet chilli sauce (I used the brand Blue Dragon), 1 tbsp ketchup, 1 tsp tomato puree, 1 tsp honey
Here's what to do π©βπ³:
Coat the beef in the marinade, then cornflour.
Air fry for 10-15 minutes until crispy, making sure to flip halfway through.
Meanwhile, pan-fry the pepper and onion.
Once soft, add the crispy beef and sauce to the pan.
Stir for a couple of minutes until evenly coated.
Serve with rice or noodles and top with sesame seeds and spring onions.
That'll do you a good couple of days of meal prep, or I'm sure your partner/kids would love it too! β€οΈ
